Taxes
My record on tax relief is clear. I have consistently supported efforts to reduce the tax burden on Kansans to allow them to keep more of their hard-earned dollars. I will continue to support legislation that provides tax relief to Kansans.
The current tax system is complex, burdensome, unfair, and inefficient, for both corporations and individuals and must be reformed.Lower taxes help to create jobs and grow the economy. I support pro-growth tax reform that encourages economic activity -- to allow markets, rather than government -- to make the most efficient use of resources. It also means lowering the tax burdens of high tax rates and reducing compliance costs. Reforms that achieve this will boost investment and spur economic growth.
