WASHINGTON, DC – U.S. Senator Pat Roberts (R-KS) today announced a $110,000 grant to Lyons/Rice County Municipal airport for runway upgrades.

The grant will be used to acquire land for Runway 17R/35L for extension and widening. The extension and widening of the runway is required to comply with the Federal Aviation Administration’s Building Restriction Line ownership requirements.

The funds were awarded by the United States Department of Transportation
