WASHINGTON, DC – U.S. Senator Pat Roberts (R-KS) today announced a $84,841 grant for renovations to Breakthrough House, Inc. in Topeka.

The grant will be used for the renovation of a building at 2200 SW Gage Blvd., VAMC Bldg. 60 in Topeka to create transitional housing that will provide 20 beds for homeless veterans in the area.

Senator Roberts said, "I am pleased to see that these funds will help Breakthrough House care for veterans in need. Those who have fought for our country can get the support they deserve."

The funds were awarded by the United States Department of Veteran Affairs.
