WASHINGTON, DC – Today, U.S. Senator Pat Roberts (R-KS) announced that USDA awarded a $177,200 grant to help purchase a new fire truck in Caldwell, Kansas.

The funds were awarded to the KanOkla Telephone Association Inc. in Caldwell to establish a revolving loan fund for KanOkla Telephone. The initial loan will be made to the City of Caldwell to assist in the purchase of a new fire truck to provide enhanced fire protection for the residents of Caldwell and surrounding communities.

The grant was awarded by the United States Department of Agriculture’s Rural Development Office under the Rural Economic Development Grant Program. Senator Roberts is a senior member of the Senate Agriculture Committee.
