WASHINGTON, DC – U.S. Senator Pat Roberts today applauded Dillons and Kwik Shop for their decision to reopen a grocery store in Greensburg.

“Dillons and Kwik Shop have gone above and beyond for the Greensburg community whether through fundraising or helping residents return to normal life,” Senator Roberts said. “It is my hope that with the reopening of this grocery store, it will further inspire others in the rebuilding of the town.”

Kwik Shop has already reopened its convenience store in Greensburg and will convert the store to a combination Dillons grocery store and Kwik Shop by the end of September. The partnership of Dillons and Kwik Shop, both owned by The Kroger Co. (NYSE: KR) and based in Hutchinson, Kansas, enables the companies to begin offering expanded food choices for Greensburg residents.

Senator Roberts remains committed to making sure the federal response to the tornado and severe storms of May 4 is swift and responsive to the needs of the communities.
