WASHINGTON, DC – U.S. Senator Pat Roberts (R-KS) today announced a $1.6 million grant to the city of Fredonia for flood cleanup.
The grant will aid in the cleanup from the June 2007 floods that affected the Fredonia area, specifically the city power plant. This funding will help repair or replace the damaged electric equipment at the power plant building basement.
The funds were awarded by the United States Department of Homeland Security’s Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).
