WASHINGTON, DC – U.S. Senator Pat Roberts (R-KS) today announced a $300,000 grant to the city of Emporia for economic development.

The funds will be used for roadway improvements necessary for a new manufacturing and distribution facility in Emporia that will create much-needed jobs for the region.

The grant was awarded by the United States Department of Commerce’s Economic Development Administration.
