WICHITA— Senator Pat Roberts’ (R-Kan.) office released the following statement today after his Wichita office received a suspicious piece of mail:

“Authorities have assured Senator Roberts that the situation is under control and the office will re-open tomorrow for business as usual,” said Sarah Little, Communications Director for Sen. Roberts. “Senator Roberts’ office in Wichita received a suspicious envelope and reported it to law enforcement who responded immediately. The investigation is ongoing. Senator Roberts was in Topeka at the time of the incident and is closely monitoring the situation.”
