WASHINGTON, DC – U.S. Senator Pat Roberts (R-KS) today announced a $354,400 loan for construction and equipment for Spur Ridge Veterinary Hospital in Marion, Kansas.

The funds will be used to provide financing for cost associated with the building construction and equipment and furnishings for a small and large animal hospital for Spur Ridge Veterinary Hospital, PA in Marion. It is anticipated that four full time jobs will be created by this facility and another four jobs maintained.

The loan was awarded to Butler rural Electric Cooperative in El Dorado.

The loan was awarded by the United States Department of Agriculture’s Rural Development Office’s Rural Economic Development Loan Program. Senator Roberts is a senior member of the Senate Agriculture Committee.
