WASHINGTON, DC – U.S. Senator Pat Roberts today made the following statement on the president’s Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) rescission announcement:

 “The president has done the right thing in allowing this challenge to be resolved in the Congress where it should be debated, and a bipartisan, reasonable and permanent solution can be reached.

“Americans need to be convinced our borders are secure. Congress needs to fix our broken immigration system, which includes providing a commonsense and compassionate plan for children whose parents brought them here illegally.”
