    WASHINGTON, DC – U.S. Senator Pat Roberts today announced that a $651,500 grant was awarded to Salina Health Education Foundation.

    The grant provides funding for medical and dental services for residents of Saline County counties. In 2006, Salina Health Education provided medical, dental and health services to 8,242 low-income residents through 34,806 patient visits.

    The funds will be used to add three new medical staff members to the Salina Family Healthcare Center and the Salina Family Dental Clinic.

    The grant was awarded by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).

    Senator Roberts is a senior member of the Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions (HELP).
