Senator Roberts Announces $791,233 for Homeless Veterans in Leavenworth, Topeka, Wichita

WASHINGTON, DC – U.S. Senator Pat Roberts (R-KS) today announced three grants totaling over $791,233 for homeless veterans in Leavenworth, Topeka and Wichita.
The grants will provide rental assistance under a supportive housing program for homeless veterans. These public agencies have agreed to partner with eligible Veterans Affairs (VA) facilities for this program.
• Leavenworth Housing Authority: $482,038
• Topeka Housing Authority: $135,790
• Wichita Housing Authority: $173,405
Senator Roberts said, “I am pleased to see that these funds will help care for veterans in need. Those who have fought for our country can get the support they deserve.”
The funds were awarded by the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
