WASHINGTON, DC – U.S. Senator Pat Roberts (R-KS) today announced a $1.9 million grant for alcohol impaired driving enforcement to the Kansas State Highway Safety Office.
The funds will be used to encourage Kansas to enact and enforce laws and implement programs to combat impaired driving. The Alcohol Impaired Driving Countermeasures Incentive Grant will be used to enforce specific programs to prevent or deter impaired driving.
The grant was awarded by the United States Department of Transportation’s National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
