WASHINGTON, DC – U.S. Senator Pat Roberts (R-KS) today announced a $21,900 grant to Crawford County for crime prevention.
The grant was awarded to the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office and the City of Pittsburg Police Department to prevent and control crime based on their local needs in law enforcement, prosecution, prevention and education, corrections, drug treatment, and planning and evaluation. Both departments will use $10,900 for equipment:
• Crawford County Sheriff’s Office: Automatic Defibrillators (AED) for deputy sheriffs;
• City of Pittsburg: laptop computer with mobile printer, digital recorder, and cameras.
The funds were awarded by the United States Department of Justice’s Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) Program.
