WASHINGTON, DC – U.S. Senator Pat Roberts (R-KS) today announced a $400,000 loan for the Hospital District #5 in Harper County for upgrades.

The funds will be used to connect the main hospital with the east campus, centralize the laboratory department and the admission department, add new offices for doctors, upgrade the entrance to the hospital, and add additional parking. The hospital services a population of 4,900 including Harper County and the City of Harper and portions of Sumner, Kingman, and Barber counties.

The loan was made available by the United States Department of Agriculture’s Rural Development Office under the Community Facility Guaranteed Loan Program. Senator Roberts is a senior member of the Senate Agriculture Committee.
