WASHINGTON, DC– Maggie Morris, daughter of Michael and Beverly Morris of Topeka, recently completed a four month internship in the office of U.S. Senator Pat Roberts in Washington, D.C.

Maggie recently graduated from the William Allen White School of Journalism and Mass Communications at the University of Kansas with a B.S.J. in journalism and a concentration in strategic communications. She also earned a B.A. in American Studies.

During her time in Roberts’ office, Maggie researched legislation, wrote grant releases, assisted with constituent mail and casework, led U.S. Capitol tours, attended various hearings and briefings and assisted the administrative and communications staff in other responsibilities.

Maggie will begin work at Williams and Jensen law and lobbying firm in Washington, D.C., later this month.
