WASHINGTON, DC – Blue Rapids native Chris Duensing, son of Dr. Ken and Zita Duensing, recently completed a 15 week internship in the Washington, D.C. office of U.S. Senator Pat Roberts.

Duensing graduated in May 2005 with a dual degree in Economics and Political Science from the University of Kansas. He has joined the United States Air Force and will be heading for basic training in May. His responsibilities in the Air Force will focus on intelligence issues.

Duensing’s duties in Senator Roberts’ office included researching legislation, attending committee hearings and briefings, assisting with consistent mail and concerns. Conducting tours of the U.S. Capital Building and providing support to the administrative and communications staff.
