    WASHINGTON, DC – U.S. Senator Pat Roberts (R-KS) today announced a $368,500 grant for a new campground site at Hillsdale State park in Miami County.

    The new campground site adjacent to the South Scott Creek Campground at Hillsdale State Park, will include a new shower house, new electrical, water and sewer connections, new graded asphalt roads and parking lots. In addition, the grant will develop ADA compliant walkways. The new development will provide additional outdoor recreation space for campers and other users.

    The grant was awarded to the Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks in Pratt to develop the new campground. With local matching funds, the total project cost will be $737,122. The funds were awarded by the National Park Service’s Land and Water Conservation Fund program.
