WASHINGTON, DC – Today, U.S. Senator Pat Roberts (R-Kan.) congratulates Kansan Chuck Stones on his presidential nomination to the Board of Directors of the Federal Agricultural Mortgage Corporation (“Farmer Mac”).

“I am proud to congratulate my dear friend Chuck Stones on his presidential nomination to the Federal Agricultural Mortgage Corporation board. I hope the Senate is able to move quickly through the confirmation process.  I have no doubt Chuck will make Kansas proud,” said Sen. Roberts.

Stones retired as the President of the Kansas Bankers Association (KBA) in 2019 after 33 years. During his time at KBA, Stones worked in government relations and agricultural banking policy.

A 1978 graduate of Washburn University, Stones lives in Topeka.

Farmer Mac is the nation’s premier secondary market for agricultural credit. The Board of Directors consists of 15 members, five of which are appointed by the President.
