WASHINGTON, DC – U.S. Senator Pat Roberts today announced a loan and grant totaling $165,400 for the City of Horton.

The funds will be used to purchase a new fire truck and to purchase and install two new storm sirens for the citizens of Horton. The fire truck and storm sirens will serve a population of 1,967 in Brown County.

The grant and loan were awarded by the United States Department of Agriculture’s Rural Development Office. Senator Roberts is a senior member of the Senate Agriculture Committee.
