WASHINGTON, DC – Today, U.S. Senator Pat Roberts (R-KS) said the United States Department of Transportation announced a $53,675 grant to Smith Center Municipal Airport for apron rehabilitation.

The funds will be used to rehabilitate the apron, which will increase the airport parking area and increase aircraft safety movement areas.

The grant was awarded by the Transportation Department’s Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
