WASHINGTON, DC – Today, U.S. Senator Pat Roberts (R-KS) announced more than $1.5 million in housing grants for Lawrence.
$807,774 for Community Development Block Grants (CDBG): providing decent housing and a suitable living environment; expanding economic opportunities for low-and moderate-income persons.
$695,905 for HOME Grants: expanding the supply of decent, affordable housing to low- and very low-income families; funding housing programs that meet local needs and priorities.
The grants were awarded by the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
