WASHINGTON, DC – U.S. Senator Pat Roberts announced today a $400,000 grant was awarded to the Crawford County Board of Commissioners to assist the Police Response Advocacy Program (PRA).
The funds, are provided through the Grants to Encourage Arrest Policies Program and awarded by the Office on Violence Against Women under the U.S. Department of Justice to coordinate efforts between agencies and organizations which respond to domestic violence. This program will create more efficient tracking and prosecution of offenders, including a centralized database for the area.
The grant was developed to increase the accountability of offenders and provide for victim safety.
