WASHINGTON, DC – U.S. Senator Pat Roberts (R-KS) today announced a $14,850 grant for a new patrol vehicle in Burden.
The funds will be used to purchase a new patrol vehicle for the City of Burden in Cowley County, serving a population of 564.
The grant was awarded by the United States Department of Agriculture’s Rural Development Office’s Community Facility Grant Program. Senator Roberts is a senior member of the Senate Agriculture Committee. For more information on USDA’s Rural Development Office, go to http://www.rurdev.usda.gov/ .
