WASHINGTON, DC – U.S. Senator Pat Roberts (R-KS) today announced a $91,700 grant for Colonel James Jabara Airport in Wichita for taxiway construction.

The grant will be used to construct a new taxiway to improve efficiency and safety of the airport by greatly reducing the need to back-taxi on active runways.

The funds were awarded to the Wichita Airport Authority by the United States Department of Transportation’s Federal Aviation Administration.
