WASHINGTON, DC – U.S. Senator Pat Roberts (R-Kan.) today released the following statement congratulating Donald Trump and Mike Pence on being sworn in as the 45th President and 48th Vice-President of the United States.
“I congratulate President Donald Trump and Vice-President Mike Pence on their new roles leading this great nation. Americans are ready for a new voice in the White House, who listens to their concerns and puts the needs of every American first.
“Now is the time to come together so that the hopes of all Americans can be realized. I look forward to working with the new administration and a Republican majority in Congress to truly ‘make America great again.’ We have the opportunity for effective change. It is time to get to work.”
Senator Roberts attended today’s inauguration ceremony in Washington, DC, and distributed tickets to hundreds of Kansas constituents throughout the week to attend the ceremony.
“It has been great to visit with so many enthusiastic Kansans in town to celebrate this historic occasion. I look forward to continuing to work hard with President Trump on behalf of all Kansans – rolling back many of the previous administration’s burdensome regulations and executive orders that have been hurting Kansas farmers and small businesses. Let’s make America work again, for all Americans.”
