TOPEKA, KS – U.S. Senator Pat Roberts today congratulated Governor Sam Brownback and other statewide officials following their swearing-in ceremonies as they assume office in the 150^th year of Kansas’ statehood.

"While I will miss working with Sam in the U.S. Senate, I am looking forward to his leadership for our state. There is no one I would trust more than my friend, Governor Brownback to grow our economy and create Kansas jobs. I am proud to be here to celebrate Governor Brownback’s inauguration made doubly special by the momentous occasion of the 150^th anniversary of Kansas statehood.
