WASHINGTON, DC – U.S. Senator Pat Roberts (R-KS) today announced a $13,700 grant to the City of Coffeyville for law enforcement equipment.

The funds will be used to purchase seven patrol rifles and seven vehicle mounted rifle locks for each of its patrol cruisers and three additional X26 tasers to supplement its current inventory. The funds will also be used to purchase three Heckler and Koch MP5 weapons to partially equip the newly formed tactical team.

The grant was awarded by the United States Department of Justice’s Bureau of Justice Assistance and made available by the Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant Program.
