I was honored to receive the Community Health Super Hero award from the Kansas Association for the Medically Underserved.

Community Health Centers play a vital role in providing health care to those without insurance. For many families in Kansas, they provide a critical safety net of services.

I have supported a bill to renew federal funding for these centers across the country. There are 12 centers in Kansas that receive federal funds and they make a real difference. If we can get this bill passed, it is my hope we can establish centers in more Kansas communities, relieving the burden on emergency rooms and improving health care for all Kansans.
