WASHINGTON, DC – U.S. Senator Pat Roberts (R-KS) today announced a $52,000 grant to the city of Leavenworth for law enforcement equipment.
The funds will be used to install a new records management system and a new computer-aided dispatch system. Both systems will have the ability to integrate with mobile data software. The funds will also be used to obtain a police canine to assist with patrol/enforcement and narcotics searches.
The grant was awarded by the United States Department of Justice’s Bureau of Justice Assistance and made available by the Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant Program.
