Senator Roberts: Kingman Resident Appointed to Federal Crop Insurance Corporation’s Board of Directors
Sep 16 2008
WASHINGTON, D.C. - U.S. Senator Pat Roberts applauded the appointment of Susan C. Rogers, of Kingman, to the Federal Crop Insurance Corporation’s (FCIC) Board of Directors.
Rogers has owned her own crop insurance agency for 15 of her 20 years in the insurance business. She will be filling the insurance industry vacancy on the board. She also shares ownership of a small agricultural business selling farm supplies and providing custom hay and feed cutting.
"I’m pleased a fellow Kansan will be serving the national agriculture community in such a position. Susan’s knowledge of the crop insurance industry and rural way of life will provide a unique and valuable perspective to the FCIC Board." Senator Roberts said.
USDA’s Risk Management Agency carries out the programs authorized by the FCIC Board by promoting, supporting, and regulating sound risk management solutions to preserve and strengthen the economic stability of America’s agricultural producers.
Senator Roberts is a former Chairman of the House Agriculture Committee and currently serves on the Senate Agriculture Committee.
