WASHINGTON, DC – U.S. Senator Pat Roberts (R-KS) today announced a $15,000 grant to the City of Bassett for a maintenance tractor.

The funds will be used to purchase a new small tractor with a blade and bucket for the City of Bassett in Allen County. The tractor will assist the community in maintaining the streets, removing snow and ice during the winter months, and with the beautification of the city.

The grant was awarded by the United States Department of Agriculture’s Rural Development Office under the Community Facility Grant Program. Senator Roberts is a senior member of the Senate Agriculture Committee.
