WASHINGTON, DC – U.S. Senator Pat Roberts launched an updated “home on the web” with a new look but the same focus on service to Kansans and information on his activities on behalf of the state.

To complement the new site, Senator Roberts has started an official Facebook page and a YouTube branded site where floor speeches, interviews and other video can be found. Links to these sites can be found from the homepage.

Kansans can visit the site at:

https://www.roberts.senate.gov

“I welcome Kansans to check out the new, revised site,” Senator Roberts said. “We made it more user friendly, and I look forward to reaching new audiences on Facebook and YouTube.”

The new site will facilitate greater communication with constituents and still includes a link to email Senator Roberts, plus phone and fax numbers as well as a listing of staff members in each office. The website features quick access to the following major features right from the homepage:

• Easy sign-up for the “Roberts Report,” a monthly e-newsletter

• Insight into “Your Capitol” in Senator “Roberts’ Journal”

• Audio and video clips

• Local news by region

• Contact Information for Senator Roberts’ state and Washington offices

• Photo Gallery

• Flag Requests

There is also direct access to legislation Senator Roberts champions, with detailed issue statements, bill status and voting records.

For students, the website provides information on applying for a nomination to the country’s military academies as well as information on internships for college students in Senator Roberts’ Washington office.

“The site offers information on what to see and do when you visit our nation’s capitol and help with scheduling tours in Washington. If you visit D.C., I hope it will include a stop in my Washington office and a tour of the U.S. Capitol building,” Roberts said. “My website is an easy way to request information, learn about my representation of Kansas in the U.S. Senate, and is a reference for other government sources on the web.”
