WASHINGTON, DC – Today, U.S. Senator Pat Roberts (R-KS) said the United States Department of Transportation (DOT) announced a $176,796 grant to Moritz Memorial Airport in Beloit to acquire land for a runway extension.

The grant will provide funding for land acquisition to have control of the runway protection zones of Runway 17/35.

The funds were awarded by the DOT’s Federal Aviation Administration.
