WASHINGTON, DC – Today, U.S. Senator Pat Roberts (R-KS) announced USDA awarded a $300,000 grant and a $740,000 loan to Rural Telephone Service in Lenora for an addition to the Norton County Hospital.

The funds from this grant and loan will be used for economic development to construct an addition to the Norton County Hospital for a new medical clinic.

The loan and grant were awarded by the United States Department of Agriculture’s Rural Development Office under the Rural Economic Development Loan Program. Senator Roberts is a senior member of the Senate Agriculture Committee.
