WASHINGTON, DC – Today, U.S. Senator Pat Roberts said that the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) announced a $11,655 grant for marketing training for local Chanute businesses on Main Street.

The funds will be awarded to Main Street Chanute and will be used to provide technical assistance to businesses located on Main Street in Chanute, KS in the form of sponsoring attendance at a marketing seminar. The two and a half day seminar will provide nine Chanute retailers strategies to market their business effectively, attracting local and out of town consumers.

The grant was awarded by the United States Department of Agriculture’s Rural Development Office under the Rural Business Enterprise Grant Program.
