WASHINGTON, DC – Today, U.S. Senator Pat Roberts (R-KS) said the United States Department of Transportation announced a $350,000 grant to rehabilitate the Clay Center Municipal Airport runway.

The grant was awarded to the City of Clay Center to rehabilitate Runway 17/35 lighting and rotating beacon replacement at Clay Center Municipal to ensure safe operations during night flights and marginal weather, and to improve safety and efficiency at the airport.

The funds were awarded by the Department of Transportation’s Federal Aviation Administration.
