WASHINGTON, DC – Today U.S. Senator Pat Roberts (R-KS) announced a $12,700 grant to the city of Arkansas City for law enforcement equipment.
The funds will be used to purchase two Lidar Radar "C" cordless units to enforce speed limits and one in-car video system to document traffic stops, evidence and monitor officer behavior.
The grant was awarded by the United States Department of Justice’s Bureau of Justice Assistance and made available by the Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant Program.
