WASHINGTON, DC – U.S. Senator Pat Roberts today released the following statement regarding the ruling on the Conservation Reserve Program’s Critical Feed Use program: 

            “I am pleased farmers and ranchers who either applied or made significant preparations to participate in the Critical Feed Use program are not going to be penalized for attempting to hay or graze this acreage. Many of our producers made planning decisions and investments based on the availability of this program and thankfully will be able to move forward.”   

            Senator Roberts is a senior member of the Senate Committee on Agriculture Nutrition and Forestry.
