WASHINGTON, D.C. – At today’s hearing of the U.S. Senate Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition and Forestry, Leonard Wolfe, United Bank and Trust President, CEO, and Chairman of the Board, testified on the climate of the Farm Credit System in rural America.
Agriculture Committee Chairman Sen. Pat Roberts, R-Kan., held the hearing to review the current economic conditions of the Farm Credit System.
“It’s important to have the perspective of a good Kansas banker today," said Chairman Roberts. "I appreciate Mr. Wolfe’s dedication to serving agriculture borrowers and for coming all the way to Washington to tell his story.”

Wolfe is the past chairman of the Kansas Bankers Association and serves on the American Bankers Association Community Bankers Council. A graduate of Southwestern College in Winfield, Kan., Wolfe began his banking career in 1979 and first became President and CEO of a bank in 1986 at the age of 28.
