WASHINGTON, DC – U.S. Senator Pat Roberts (R-KS) today announced a $50,000 grant for the QUAD Facilitation Program, Inc out of Eureka.

The QUAD Facilitation Program, Inc. will partner with five southeast Kansas counties (Chautauqua, Elk, Greenwood, Wilson, and Eastern Cowley), to provide entrepreneurial activities that help assist small and emerging businesses. QUAD will assist businesses with product marketing, financial management support and training, and assistance with general operations of the small businesses.

"Small businesses are the backbone of our local communities in Kansas," Senator Roberts said. "I am pleased to announce this grant that will assist these businesses so they will continue to contribute to our local economy."

 

The grant was awarded by the United States Department of Agriculture’s Rural Development Office. The funds will be complemented with $81,636 from the applicant. Senator Roberts is a senior member of the Senate Agriculture Committee.
