Senator Roberts Announces $278,300 Grant to Leavenworth Public Schools for Physical Education

WASHINGTON, DC – U.S. Senator Pat Roberts today announced a $278,300 grant for physical education to the Leavenworth Public Schools.
The grant will be used to provide teacher training, develop physical education and nutrition education curricula, conduct fitness assessments, and purchase equipment for students in Kindergarten through the 12th grade.
The funds were awarded by the Carol M. White Physical Education Program (PEP) under the U.S. Department of Education.
Senator Roberts is a senior member of the Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee.
