WASHINGTON, DC – U.S. Senator Pat Roberts (R-KS) today announced a $50,000 grant and $685,000 loan to Mound City for construction.

The grant and loan will be used for the construction of a new city building that will include a new city hall and library. The new facility will serve Mound City in Linn County with a population of 821. The applicant will contribute $100,000 for this project.

The funds were awarded by the United States Department of Agriculture’s Rural Development Office. Senator Roberts is a senior member of the Senate Agriculture Committee.
