WASHINGTON, DC – U.S. Senator Pat Roberts today announced that a $660,000 grant was awarded to the We Care Project (WCP), a community health center in Great Bend.
The grant provides funding for medical and behavioral health services for residents of Barton and Pawnee counties. In 2004, WCP served 3,061 people through 7,376 medical and mental health visits. The program serves residents who are under or uninsured or have incomes below the federal poverty level.
The WCP provides primary care, diagnostic tests/screening, lab and x-ray, gynecological care, mental health treatment and counseling, hearing and vision screening, pharmacy services, health education, interpretation and translation services and outreach.
