WASHINGTON DC – U.S. Senator Pat Roberts (R-KS) today announced a $5,826 grant to the Finney County Sheriff’s Office in Garden City.

The grant will be used to purchase an Optim Freedomview Fiber Optic Scope Kit. The new equipment is cutting edge technology that will make inspections safer and easier for law enforcement officials.

Senator Roberts said, "I am pleased to announce these funds, which are vital to improve crime fighting efforts and first responder needs in rural Kansas. It’s imperative to support our local sheriff’s departments."

The funds were made available by the United States Department of Homeland Security’s Commercial Equipment Direct Assistance Program (CEDAP).
