WASHINGTON, DC – Today, U.S. Senator Pat Roberts (R-KS) announced a $370,000 loan to the 27-40 Store, Inc. in Sharon Springs for rural development.
The funds will be used to purchase an existing convenience store in Sharon Springs. This project will save eight jobs in a community of less than 835 people. The store will continue to be locally owned and managed. It provides local residents a location to purchase essential grocery needs.
The loan was awarded by the United States Department of Agriculture’s Rural Development Office under the Business and Industry Guaranteed Loan Program. Senator Roberts is a senior member of the Senate Agriculture Committee.
