WASHINGTON, DC – U.S. Senator Pat Roberts today made the following statement amid reports that Northrop Grumman will not submit a bid for the U.S. Air Force aerial refueling tanker contract:

“This is a great day for our warfighters,” Senator Roberts said. “Our men and women in uniform desperately need a new tanker and now they are going to receive a plane that both matches their requirements and is made by the most qualified and experienced workers.”

Senator Roberts continues to work in a bipartisan way in behalf of Boeing workers.
