Congratulations to President-Elect Donald Trump and the entire Kansas delegation! It was been a historic week for our nation, especially rural America. I am proud to be a champion of rural Americans and will continue to put our needs first. Now is the time for the country to come together so that we can work on solutions that will ensure greater opportunity, a strong national defense and prosperity for this great nation.

South Lawrence Trafficway is complete!

It was an exciting day to participate in the ribbon cutting of the South Lawrence Trafficway. I see it as the beginning of opportunity for the region rather than an end of a long process. I was happy to be part of this long-earned success. It will bring tremendous opportunity and quality of life benefits for the region and will enhance development in the High Tech Corridor where much of Kansas’ current and future economic growth will occur. Kansans can now travel more safely between their homes and their jobs and enjoy improved lifestyle opportunities. The South Lawrence Trafficway is a symbol of how Kansans can work together to get something done in the face of long odds.

It was my great pleasure to visit with the Rotarians in Sublette. Sublette is the role model for a smaller community where folks work together, watch out for each other and are quick with a helping hand.
