Hello,

Next week the Senate heads into its Memorial Day Congressional work period. I’m looking forward to being home and making many stops throughout the state. I’d like to invite you to join me at any of the stops in your area so we can visit:

Memorial Day Ceremony

On Monday, May 28, I’ll be participating in a Memorial Day Ceremony to honor our fallen Americans who paid the ultimate sacrifice fighting for our freedoms. Feel free to join me at 11 a.m. at the Penwell-Gabel Cemetery in Topeka. I hope to see you there as we remember our fallen heroes. The details are below:

Memorial Day Ceremony

• Monday, May 29, 11:00 a.m.

• Penwell-Gabel Cemetery, Serve and Protect Garden, 6th and Gage

Town Hall Meetings

Later that week, I’ll be holding town hall meetings in Neosho, Bourbon and Miami Counties to hear what’s on your mind. I often take your advice and counsel back to the Senate and share it with my colleagues in committees, on the Senate floor and with the Administration. So, please stop by. Here are the details of the three meetings:

Neosho County Town Hall Meeting

• Thursday, May 31, 9:45 a.m.

• Spirit Facility, 615 West Cherry Street, Chanute

Bourbon County Town Hall Meeting

• Friday, June 1, 10:15 a.m.

• Heritage Pavilion, First and Main, Ft. Scott (in case of inclement weather, location will move to Crooner’s Lounge)

Miami County Town Hall Meeting

• Friday, June 1, Noon

• Administration Building, 201 S. Pearl, 1st Floor (Miami County Commission Chambers), Paola

During that week, I’ll also be visiting with the Topeka Chamber of Commerce, Spirit Airlines, Parsons Rotary, and the Pittsburg Chamber of Commerce, as well as making other stops throughout the state. If you have any questions about any of these stops, or would like more details, feel free to call my Topeka office at (785) 295-2745 or my Washington, D.C. office at (202) 224-4774.
